Matery Vocab 3D1



The objective/goal of VOCABULARY learning:
1.      To enlarge/improve students’ vocabulary mastery.
2.      To enable students to use the vocabularies they already mastered in the form of sentences/expressions. (ultimate goal)
There are 2 kinds of vocabulary:
1.      Receptive vocabulary---à used in listening and reading.
2.      Expressive/productive vocabulary---àused in speaking and writing

Syllabus of VOCABULARY learning :
1.      Review of the English parts of speech.
-          Types of words :
-          NOUN – real and abstract
Student, flag, boat, fruit, hall, pen
Love, feeling, responsibility, courage/bravery, jealousy, weakness
Ex: responsible
The headmaster is responsible for this problem.
My girl friend left me intentionally (on purpose).

-          ADJ.  : wide, strong, marvelous, amaze, salty, watery
-          VERB :
Trans : buy, send, read, bring, drink, eat
Intrans : run, walk, swim, sleep, go, appear, jump,
-          PRON :

-          ADV. : calmly, beautifully, carefully, quickly, late, hard,
